Pretty bad. It was more coherent than
The Singles Ward
, but it was even less funny. Kirby Heyborne did okay, but most of the other acting stank, and seeing some of the actors do well in other films, I assume it is the director's fault. The writers created some interesting opportunities for satire, but it almost always played out as mildly amusing at best. The only time I really laughed was during the home teaching segment. There was a great shot of Heyborne giving a short lesson to a reluctant target through the mail slot, while dropping oatmeal cookies through. But that was it. The courtroom scene at the end was especially bad, the DA was doing a terrible, embarrassing imitation of Jim Carrey. Overall, it was just a dull film.
