The Nutcracker, The Musical
By Marilyn Brown, Molgard

Genre: Musical drama

Reviewed by: Veda Hale

I saw Marilyn Brown's new Christmas musical at the Brown's Villa theater in Springville. Marilyn has taken the characters from the NUTCRACKER and written words for new songs and put them in a new story line. Anna Molgard helped put Marilyn's songs to music. It is a truly delightful family Christmas play with humor and a warm fuzzy Christmas spirit that little children particularly caught. I took three granddaughters, 7, 5 and 4, and they sat enraptured through the whole of it. The set was expertly done and the actors, many of them children, preformed very well, and as if they loved doing it.

I say three cheers for this kind of community effort!
