The Runaway Mother is a Mothers' Day novel most mothers can relate to whether they are married or single . Carol Lynn Pearson spins a true-to-life tale about a mother named Alison. She is a mother of two children, Jamie and Melissa and she is divorced. The story is based on three straws that broke the camel's back and the last one caused her to take action to spite her children and give herself a Mother's Day weekend of a lifetime. It is a tale how a mother who feels she has failed her children but in reality she has not. A crisis arises with the Mother's Day Program at church which brings Alison back to reality. She realizes her perfect neighbor Martha isn't so perfect after all. They discover they admire each other for their different strengths.
It is a depiction of Motherhood and how we all feel about ourselves and our children.
It is a book to be cherished and read over and over again to remind us of how valued
we are as women and Mothers. I highly recommend this book to all to read. It is a true
keepsake book.
